Umrah Dua List (Step by Step)
During Umrah, you can make duas for the rituals at every step.
1. Entering Masjid al-Haram
اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ Allahumma-ftah li abwaba rahmatik.Meaning: "O Allah, open the doors of Your mercy for me."
2. Seeing the Kaaba for the First Time
Seeing the kaaba is also Ibaadat in Islam. There are no fixed duas for this moment. Many scholars suggest raising your hands and making a sincere dua from your heart. This is one of the most important moments when the duas are accepted.
3. Starting Tawaf at the Hajar-e-Aswad (Black Stone)
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ Bismillah, Allahu Akbar.Meaning: "In the name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest."
You can make this dua whenever you are close to the Hajar-e-Aswad corner. It is not mandatory to touch or kiss the Hajar-e-Aswad and say the Dua.
4. After Tawaf (Maqam Ibrahim)
After you've completed 7 rounds, pray two short rak'ahs near Maqam Ibrahim. According to Islamic scholars, it is sunnah to recite Surah al-Kafirun in the first rak'ah and Surah al-Ikhlas in the second rak'ah.
5. Drinking Zamzam Water
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا وَاسِعًا وَشِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan wasi'an, wa shifa'an min kulli da'.Meaning: "O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, abundant provision, and healing from every illness."
6. Starting Sa'i at Safa
إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ Innas-Safa wal Marwata min sha'a'irillah.Meaning: "Indeed, Safa and Marwah are among the symbols of Allah."
Source: This is from the Quran, Surah al-Baqarah, verse 158. Recite it before you climb Safa for the first walk.
7. Halq or Taqsir (Ending Umrah Dua)
There is no fixed dua for ending Umrah. You simply have to make a niyyah to end ihram, have your head shaved (Halq) or trimmed (Taqsir: cutting hair to a finger length for women), and your Umrah is complete.
Dua During Tawaf
This is one of the most asked questions by pilgrims. That is why we've prepared a complete dua along with meaning and reference. The dua for Tawaf is recited between the Rukn Yamani corner and the Hajar-e-Aswad corner, in every one of the seven rounds:
Dua Between Rukn Yamani and Hajar-e-Aswad
Meaning: "Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the next life, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."

Many pilgrims want to make a dua for parents, a relative, or a friend who cannot afford even the cheapest Umrah. We will guide you on how you can make a dua for them.
You can say their name during your dua at any point, especially at the top of Safa and Marwah. Alternatively, you can make dua for them at Maqam Ibrahim after praying two rak'ahs.
There are no fixed words for dua; simply ask Allah to grant them health, forgiveness, aulaad, or whatever they asked you to.
Some Hadith from Sunnah.com say that a Muslim's private dua for another Muslim in their absence is most likely to be accepted, which is why many pilgrims specifically set aside a moment for others during Tawaf.
